Overview

Mechanical Engineering is a most versatile field. Mechanical Engineers are required to design, test, manufacture, install, operate and maintain a wide array of machines and mechanical systems that are used in countless industries. This includes thermodynamics, fluid flow, robotics and computer aided design etc. The development in computer technology has changed the face of mechanical engineering and also it enables mechanical engineering to develop efficient solutions to complex technical problems.

The department has well equipped central workshop to develop skills in manufacturing and fabrication. The department organizes inplant trainings and industrial visits for the students to gain practical knowledge and develop industry student's relation, which motivate students towards entrepreneurship. The department also conducts various placements drives where the students are placed in high profile companies, and enables students to choose reputed institutions for higher education.
